History

The history of New Tripoli Bank began when a group of local residents and John R. Baer, a National Bank organizer from Washington, D.C., met and took action to begin the formation of a bank called Farmers National Bank of New Tripoli in 1909. As the bank continued to grow it was decided to change the name to The New Tripoli National Bank. This marked an important time for New Tripoli Bank and set them on track to being a well-known name within the community.

As New Tripoli Bank progressed a building site was purchased in the village of New Tripoli. The bank opened its doors in March 1910 in a small a cement block building. Today this building serves as a museum, displaying the history of New Tripoli Bank to the local community. In 1968, a new bank building was constructed across the street from the original building and still serves customers to this day! In 1999, New Tripoli Bank opened their second branch office on Claussville Road in Orefield. In 2019, New Tripoli Bank expanded to their third location on Buckeye Road in the Emmaus/Macungie market to meet the needs of their customers and community.

Thanks to the dynamic leadership of its dedicated Board, officers, and employees and the support of our loyal shareholders and customers, New Tripoli Bank continues to grow and expand its services in the Lehigh Valley. As we embark on this new journey, we welcome you to join us!
